Blake and the Upward Hawks opened their 2010 season with a win over the Pacers. The first game is usually kinda crazy, but the Hawks played well. Coaches Matt and Mitch were pleased with the amount of passing going on and the defense was strong. (more…)

Saturday, August 29th, 2009The Upward Patriots fought a hard fight against the Steelers and came up short. The entire team seemed off and the offense and defense never clicked to execute correctly. The Patriots made some good passes and had a few good runs, but weren’t able to get on a roll. The defense played tough and made some critical stops when needed. All the players stayed positive and plan to bring their A game against the next opponent.

BLAKE & THE UPWARD PATRIOTS MAKE A STAND AGAINST THE TEXANS!
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009Blake and the Patriots took a stand against the Texans and fought a hard game to win by two touchdowns! The Texans brought a tough defense, but the Patriots adjusted well and made some good passes and big runs to put points on the board. Blake score a TD off of a center sneak play where every player on the defense had a shot at his flag, some had more than one chance! The Patriots defense played well and knocked down a couple passess and held the Texans on 3rd & 4th down a few times.

UPWARD PATRIOTS STOP THE CHARGERS!

The Upward Patriots took it to the Chargers by completing some long passes and running all over the defense. Blake completed a big pass to Austin Yerby for a TD early, and the Patriots never looked back. Every player on the team had a huge run or pass and all but one player on the team scored a touchdown or extra point. The team really clicked on defense, too, holding the Chargers to very few yards and stopping them on 3rd & 4th down several times.

UPWARD PATRIOTS PLAY HARD 1ST GAME!

Blake and the Upward Patriots played a tough first game against the Steelers. Blake played QB and completed several passes, scored 2 touchdowns, knocked down 2 passes, and sacked the QB once. He broke away for a long run from the 5yd line to score the teams first touchdown. The Steelers jumped out early to lead by 2 touchdowns, but the Patriots rallied to finish only 2 points short! The entire team adjusted well and showed a lot of potential for the remainder of the season.

BIG WIN FOR THE UPWARD GRIZZLIES vs THE BULLS!

The Grizzlies had a huge win vs the Bulls with a score of 32 – 18. Blake scored 10 points and Blake’s friend, Austin, led the team in scoring with 12 points. Blake led the team in assists for a 2nd game straight. The entire team played a bigger team and hustled the entire game.
Blake is looking forward to playing the TrailBlazers next week.

UPWARD GRIZZLIES PLAY GREAT 1ST GAME!

Blake and his Grizzly teammates played a great first game vs the Nets. Blake made some great shots and the entire team moved the ball really well. Great passing, excellent defense, and great sportsmanship were on display during the entire game.
Blake’s friend, Austin, led the team in scoring and Blake led the team in assists. The boys had a great time and look forward to our next game vs the Bulls.
