Blake won the holeshot in the 2nd moto and never looked back. He finished first and won the 1st place overall podium spot.

UNDER THE LIGHTS @ OUTLAW MX: BLAKE WINS 3 HOLESHOTS, 1ST PLACE, 3RD PLACE, & 6TH PLACE

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

Awards from Outlaw MXBlake arrived Friday evening and enjoyed some practice laps on his 65 and then his KLX 110, testing out the track as the sun went down and the lights came on. He adjusted to the shadows and lighting differences quickly and was in a rhythm that he’d keep for the entire weekend.

The following night the track looked great and the racers kept rolling in. Blake raced in the Open 4-Stroke class first and got a great start and fought hard against several bikes, two of bigger engine sizes, to finish 3rd. In the 2nd moto, Blake won the holeshot and held on to 2nd place until going down late in the 2nd moto to finish 3rd won 3rd place overall.

Next, Blake raced in the 65cc 7-9 class and got a great start jumping out quick and fought for position among the other 10+ riders. Blake won the holeshot in the 2nd moto and rode near the front of the pack all night. Blake jumped a couple doubles and railed corners all night! He finished 6th overall in the 65cc 7-9 class.

At the gate at Outlaw MX RanchThe last class Blake raced was the Small 4-Stroke class. Blake won the holeshot and jumped out front early in the first moto but was passed by his friend, Hunter Hart, and Blake finished 2nd. Blake won the holeshot in the 2nd moto and never looked back. He finished first and won the 1st place overall podium spot.

BLAKE WINS 2 HOLESHOTS, 1ST PLACE, 3RD PLACE, & 6TH PLACE AT NOAH’S MX PARK

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Blake: What mud? The rain and mud couldn’t slow “The Snake” down at Noah’s Moto Park! The race team arrived on Friday night and it was clear that Noah and his crew had been working hard on the track, it looked great! We awoke Saturday morning and hit the track with one of Blake’s friends, Tab Beverly. Tab and Blake threw down some great laps, railed some turns, and pretty much worked over the track until an unexpected rain storm moved in that prevented the rest of the day’s practice.

Blake and friend, Tab Beverly When raceday rolled around the rain provided the right kind of moisture and the track looked great. Blake began the day with the 65cc 7-9 moto. Eleven bikes lined up at the gate next to Blake, but he stayed confident and got a great start. Blake left the gate in 5th and held that position the majority of the race until passed on the last lap by his friend Alex Collins. Blake and his other friend Cody Farr fought over the 6th position the entire race. Blake jumped an uphill double bigger than he ever has and was really railing turns perfectly. Blake had a great race on his Kawasaki Monster Energy KX 65 and can’t wait to race it again. Blake finished 6th overall in the 65cc 7-9 class.

Blake & Grandpa with 1st & 3rd trophies @ Noah's MX Blake’s next race was the Small 4-Stroke Class where he raced his KLX 110. Blake and his friend Tab Beverly raced four other riders in a great race. Blake won the holeshot and never looked back. He checked out from the rest of the field and got faster each lap. Blake finished with another first place podium and continued his domination of this class with another 1st place overall!

Right before Blake’s last race, the Open 4-Stroke class, a surprise thunderstorm rolled in and dumped tons of water on the track. This made for extremely muddy conditions. Blake has ridden in conditions like that before, so he wasn’t concerned in the least. When the gate dropped he jumped out front quick to win the holeshot but wrecked in a huge hole hidden by a lot of water in the track. He got back on his bike and fought to finish 3rd. He and his friend Cody Farr fought for the 3rd place spot and all the riders in that class showed a lot of talent and ability to make a race out of those conditions. It reminded a lot of spectators of the AMA Daytona race that ran in the rain and mud. These amatuer riders rode as well as the pros did! Blake finished 3rd place overall in the Open 4-Stroke class.

It would be impossible for Blake to maintain two race bikes, an rv/toyhauler, and make all the races and fees without the generous support of his sponsors. Please visit their sites and buy some stuff from them:

BLAKE WINS 3 HOLESHOTS, 1ST PLACE, & TWO 4TH PLACES AT CAMP MX

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

CAMP MXThe weather was clear, the new CAMP MX track was prepped, and Blake and his dad were ready to put what they’d learned at the Faith Racers MX camp to the test. Blake adjusted to the track’s natural elevation changes and found his groove quick. He was railing turns and began jumping a good sized uphill double.

On Sunday, Blake was ready to shift into race mode and it showed in the first moto of the Small 4-Stroke class. He jumped out of the gate winning the holeshot and never looked back. He enjoyed a substantial lead over 2nd place to finish 1st and duplicated the same results in the 2nd moto to finish 1st place overall!

Next, Blake raced his 65cc Kawasaki Monster in the 65cc 7-9 class and had his best race yet on that bike in the first moto! He got a great start and finished 3rd. Then, in the 2nd moto he fought hard to finish 4th securing the 4th place overall podium. This is Blake’s best finish yet on his 65! He’s progressing fast considering he’s only been riding this bike since February.

Blake then raced in the Open 4-Stroke class and won the holeshot in the first moto and checked out on the rest of the field to win 1st place. In the 2nd moto, Blake overtook the leader within the first lap to lead the remainder of the race until a crash slowed him down and he finished 4th. He earned the 4th podium spot, but really showed some great racing abilities in both motos.

A HOLESHOT, 1ST PLACE, & 4TH PLACE AT CROSSBONE MX

Monday, May 4th, 2009

1st Place @ the checkersCrossbone MX hosted the 6th race of the CAMS series, a combined CAMS and Alabama State Series race, and lots of great riders were on hand for a fun day. Blake enjoyed plenty of support from his grandmother and grandfather Nazary and grandpa Ander. They were treated to a great day of racing by Blake and his fellow racers.

Blake raced in the 65 7-9 class and had great starts in both motos and rode hard all day. He hit the big table top hard and got some great air on every lap.

Blake also raced in the Open 4-Stroke class and had fun racing his friends Cody and Lane. With a great start in both motos, Blake jumped out and finished 4th in both motos, beat only by 3 bikes with manual clutches and more gears (which allow them to accelerate a little faster).

Blake added a new class, Small 4-Stroke, and had a great day in both motos. Blake passed the leader early in the first moto and held on to the top spot to finish first. Then, in the 2nd moto, Blake won the holeshot and never looked back. He finished first in the 2nd moto and earned the top podium position for the class.
