It was a beautiful day at Noah’s Moto Park and the track was perfect. Blake was looking forward to getting on the track and after a quick rider’s meeting, practice began. Blake raced in three classes: 65cc 7-9, 65cc Open, and Preteen. Once practice was over, the races began.
Blake raced against some tough competitors in the 65cc 7-9 class and won the holeshot in the first moto. He fought hard against some fast riders and finished 2nd in both motos. Blake won the 2nd place podium spot in the class and looks forward to fighting for the 1st place position at the next race!
The 65cc Open class allows any age rider on a 65cc bike to compete, so the competition is really tough. This class has several riders, many with many more years racing, so Blake was excited to finish 3rd in both motos to finish 3rd overall. Blake likes mixing it up with the older riders and pushing himself.
Blake raced in a new class, the Preteen class. This is an age restricted class (7-11) that allows 65cc & 85cc bikes. Blake faced riders on bigger bikes and rode hard to nip at the heels of the leader to finish 2nd in the first moto, beating a bigger bike. He had a great 2nd moto and was passed at the end of the last lap to finish 3rd and won the 3rd place podium position in the class. This is a really good finish for the first time racing in this class against much bigger bikes.
Blake enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and can’t wait to race at the new CAMP MX track for CAMS Round 3.
It takes a lot to get to all the races and events and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of the following sponsors. Visit their sites and buy some stuff from them.
