Blake has received national press coverage in the weekly magazine Cycle News for his performance during the 12th Round of the CAMSeries last year. Blake competed at CAMP MX in several classes and was mentioned for his podium finishes in the 65cc 7-9 class and the Small 4-Stroke class. The article reads:
“Tuscaloosa, Alabama’s Blake Ander topped a pair of classes. In the 65 (7-9) class, he tallied 3-1 moto finishes to lead a Kawasaki sweep of the top six positions. Alex Collins (4-2) squeezed out second place, over Jake Rinehart (1-5). In the Small Four-Stroke class, Ander led the way to the checkers in both heats. Lane Franks and Grant Mitchell rounded out the top three.”

Blake was excited to receive this honor and looks forward to more opportunities like this in the future. Even though a scoring error was found and when remedied caused Blake to have the 2nd place podium in the 65 7-9 class instead of 1st, he and his family were extremely proud of how he rode and how he graciously gave up the top podium spot when it was found to have been a mistake. He plans to win the 1st place spot in that class fair and square in 2010!
