Blake was recently honored with an offer to join the FaithRacers MX team! FaithRacers is a group of MX racers that believe that Jesus Christ is the savior of all men, women, and children. The FaithRacers team bring Jesus’ love to MX tracks all over the south every weekend. By setting up simple mx churches (e-z ups and folding chairs), they’re able to share how God’s love is available for all of us and how a Godly life relates to the fun sport of motocross.

FaithRacers mission is to partner with God in encouraging and motivating those inside the motocross community to initiate and continue their spiritual journey with God. FaithRacers is led by Andre Pene, a one time pro racer that competed with the best of the best, and even beat Ricky Carmichael once! Andre has a true heart for God and has done amazing things to reach so many riders and families with Jesus’ love.

When featured in a newspaper article last year, Blake stated “One thing we do, so it keeps me safe and I think it works, is that we pray a lot before I race, and that’s helped me I think.” Blake is a born again Christian and he believes God must be involved in every aspect of his life, including motocross racing. Blake and his parents pray together before Blake starts one of his bikes, whether racing or practicing. After several bad crashes, and even more near misses, God has demonstrated His protection of Blake. And obviously, the speed Blake is able to negotiate and the split-second decisions that must be made on the track can only be inspired by God himself.
