Blake enjoyed great results from all the hard work and sacrifice he made during the 2009 motocross season. After racing in 21 CAMSeries events (that’s every race of the series) and attending 2 different MX Camps, Blake enjoyed winning several trophies and plaques! Nearly every time Blake sat on his bike and raced in any of the 3 classes he competed in (65cc 7-9, Open 4-Stroke, and Small 4-Stroke) he won a podium spot.
To describe Blake’s results in the Small 4-Stroke class as dominating would be an understatement. In fact, all but one race in the Small 4-Stroke class resulted in a 2nd place or better finish, and only 3 of those were 2nd places, the rest were 1st place finishes! He only missed a podium in the one race because he had a huge wreck and was injured and unable to race. In one race, Blake had two races back to back, his 65cc 7-9 and Small 4 Stroke races. He came off the track from his 65cc race and jumped on his Small 4-Stroke bike, but by the time he made it to the gate the track workers had already dropped the gate for the Small 4-Stroke riders. The rest of the field were at least a half track or more ahead of Blake when he left the gate. Not only did he catch up with the rest of the field, he passed everyone to nip at the heals of the leader and finish a close 2nd. Blake has aged out of the Small 4-Stroke class and won’t be competing in that class in 2010.
