The rain and mud couldn’t slow “The Snake” down at Noah’s Moto Park! The race team arrived on Friday night and it was clear that Noah and his crew had been working hard on the track, it looked great! We awoke Saturday morning and hit the track with one of Blake’s friends, Tab Beverly. Tab and Blake threw down some great laps, railed some turns, and pretty much worked over the track until an unexpected rain storm moved in that prevented the rest of the day’s practice.
When raceday rolled around the rain provided the right kind of moisture and the track looked great. Blake began the day with the 65cc 7-9 moto. Eleven bikes lined up at the gate next to Blake, but he stayed confident and got a great start. Blake left the gate in 5th and held that position the majority of the race until passed on the last lap by his friend Alex Collins. Blake and his other friend Cody Farr fought over the 6th position the entire race. Blake jumped an uphill double bigger than he ever has and was really railing turns perfectly. Blake had a great race on his Kawasaki Monster Energy KX 65 and can’t wait to race it again. Blake finished 6th overall in the 65cc 7-9 class.
Blake’s next race was the Small 4-Stroke Class where he raced his KLX 110. Blake and his friend Tab Beverly raced four other riders in a great race. Blake won the holeshot and never looked back. He checked out from the rest of the field and got faster each lap. Blake finished with another first place podium and continued his domination of this class with another 1st place overall!
Right before Blake’s last race, the Open 4-Stroke class, a surprise thunderstorm rolled in and dumped tons of water on the track. This made for extremely muddy conditions. Blake has ridden in conditions like that before, so he wasn’t concerned in the least. When the gate dropped he jumped out front quick to win the holeshot but wrecked in a huge hole hidden by a lot of water in the track. He got back on his bike and fought to finish 3rd. He and his friend Cody Farr fought for the 3rd place spot and all the riders in that class showed a lot of talent and ability to make a race out of those conditions. It reminded a lot of spectators of the AMA Daytona race that ran in the rain and mud. These amatuer riders rode as well as the pros did! Blake finished 3rd place overall in the Open 4-Stroke class.
It would be impossible for Blake to maintain two race bikes, an rv/toyhauler, and make all the races and fees without the generous support of his sponsors. Please visit their sites and buy some stuff from them:
